Romano Safe Prom Program Romano Safe Prom Program: Romano Ford has teamed up with iHeartMedia again this year for the Safe Prom Night Program.  The want to help protect our most precious assets:  our children Thirty (30) area high schools can win $500 each for their safe after-prom parties.  Tell your family and friends to vote at  !! Voting begins on Monday, 3/26/18.  
Board Member Petitions Available Board Member Petitions Available: Petitions for the office of Member of the Board of Education are available.  One member of the Board of Education will be elected due to the expiration of the term of member Frederick Lawrence.   A separate petition shall be required to nominate each candidate.  Forms of petition may be obtained from the Clerk of the District, Sandy Welsh.  Each petition must be directed to the Clerk of the District, must be signed by at least 25 qualified voters of the District, must state the name and residence of the candidate and must state the residence of each signer.   Petitions nominating candidates for the office of Member of the Board of Education must be filed in the office of the Clerk of the District between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., but no later than ...

DRAMA CLUB DRAMA CLUB "SUPER-SATURDAY" POSTPONED TO "SUPER-MONDAY": Due to the Girls' Volleyball Sectional Game on Saturday, 2/17/18, Drama Club's "SUPER-SATURDAY" now becomes "SUPER-MONDAY" - Full day rehearsal on MONDAY, February 19, 2018 from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm. Congratulations to the Girls' Volleyball Team!
Board Meeting Changes, etc. Board Meeting Changes, etc.: The March 14, 2018 Regular Meeting of the DeRuyter Central School Board of Education has been moved to Wednesday, March 21, 2018 at 6:00 pm in the Library/Media Center.   The April 16, 2018 Regular Meeting has been moved to April 11, 2018 at 6:00 pm in the Library/Media Center.   The Board will hold a meeting on April 16, 2018 for the purpose of voting on the OCM BOCES Administrative Budget and OCM BOCES Board of Education Member as well as conducting initial interviews for the position of Superintendent.
CONNOR HATHAWAY NOMINATED FOR US NAVAL ACADEMY CONNOR HATHAWAY NOMINATED FOR US NAVAL ACADEMY: Congresswoman Claudia Tenney recently announced that she has nominated Connor Hathaway for an appointment to the United States Naval Academy.  Connor, the son of Dean and Sandy Hathaway, is a senior here at DeRuyter High School. Congresswoman Tenney nominates exemplary candidates to the service academies.  Connor is a student who demonstrates intelligence, integrity and character on a daily basis and we are extremely proud of Connor and this achievement.  Congratulations, Connor.
